• Dedicated to protecting and improving health care, seniors' care, K-12 and post-secondary education
• Committed to reversing tax breaks for large corporations, getting full value for our resources
• Will reverse the PCs’ health levy and ensure tax fairness for families

Deborah Drever is a lifelong Calgarian, currently attending Mount Royal University and working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.

Living with her grandmother during her studies means that Deborah has had a firsthand understanding of the pressure seniors and students are under to make ends meet in a city that is increasingly more expensive to live and work in. Throughout university she has been actively involved in human rights activism, joining with feminists and allies to improve Calgary’s music scene.

She also learned the power and value of community and volunteerism at an early age. Deborah has volunteered at various not-for-profit organizations around Calgary since the age of eight. Her volunteer contributions include The Calgary Folk Music Festival, the Global Fest International Fireworks and Multicultural Event, as well as canvassing for the heart and stroke, diabetes, and cancer foundations.

Deborah is ready for a better Alberta — an Alberta that responds to the needs of all Albertans and a government that listens to Albertans. When Albertans say that their needs should take precedent over corporate tax breaks, she thinks that the government should listen. As such, she will ensure robust health care, affordance post-secondary education, and quality classrooms through the province.
