Leah Wamboldt is a lifelong Albertan who embraced the Alberta Advantage early as Chairman of family owned Southern Alberta Broadcasting and then as a small business owner. Leah’s work in personal finance for the last 20 years gives her an excellent perspective on how to end PC waste and mismanagement.
In addition to her professional background, Leah has been active in her community by serving on the Lethbridge Regional Health Board where she oversaw the strengthening of front-line health staff and helped eliminate unneeded expenses. Leah also served as Alderman on Lethbridge City Council.
Leah has decided to Stand Up for Albertans by running in Calgary - Buffalo for the Wildrose Party: “The present PC regime is full of entitlement and nepotism. The Wildrose under the leadership of Brian Jean offers the only viable alternative that will NOT raise taxes and balance the budget sensibly.”
Leah is an avid outdoors person who enjoys spending her time as a fitness instructor while participating in cycling, and hiking in Alberta’s beautiful outdoors.
Leah holds a B. SC. From the University of Alberta and has lived in Calgary with her husband Reg for over 15 years. Leah has two grown children living in Calgary and London, UK.
