Why I'm running

I’m running to be your MLA because Calgary-Elbow needs a champion within the Alberta Government.

I’m working with Premier Prentice to build the Springbank dry dam upstream on the Elbow River to protect Elbow residents from future flooding. I have a strong record as Minister of Education, and I’m committed to invest in new schools, rebuild Elbow Park School, and provide safe, inclusive learning environments for all of our students.

As your MLA, I will work hard to get a new Cross Cancer Clinic built in Calgary. We must care for our seniors by providing more long term and continuing care beds. I want to see us maximize the value of our natural resources, and establish Alberta as a leader in environmental protection.

I’m running to represent Calgary-Elbow because I believe in sound, conservative fiscal principles. Now, more than ever, we need the leadership of Premier Prentice and a Progressive Conservative government that will safely guide our province through this fiscal downturn to a brighter future.
