Chris was born in Jamaica. His family immigrated to Canada in 1968. Chris grew up in Toronto and moved to Montreal to pursue a degree in Philosophy at McGill University. Part way through his studies Chris took time off to teach English in China. After 18 months as an English teacher Chris returned to Canada and completed his degree at the University of Calgary. Upon graduation Chris worked at Alberta Vocational Centre (now Bow Valley College) as an ESL teacher. During this time Chris wrote the Foreign – Service Exam and was offered a position as a Foreign Service Officer. Over the next 8 years Chris served in Canadian diplomatic posts in Guyana, Taiwan, and Sri Lanka.
In 1995 Chris and his wife, Estee, moved back to Calgary with their sons, Sam and Isaac. They settled down in the Kingsland neighbourhood of Calgary-Glenmore. Chris works as an immigration consultant and has been involved in volunteer activities such as adult literacy, Beavers and Cubs, as well as the Youth Justice Committee in his community. Since 2012 Chris has been dedicated to supporting the Wildrose Calgary-Glenmore Constituency Association, first as a volunteer, then as VP Membership, and finally as President of the Wildrose Calgary-Glenmore Constituency Association. As the Wildrose candidate in Calgary-Glenmore Chris intends to carry the Wildrose message of fiscal responsibility, ethical government, and democratic accountability to every household in our community.
