Kerry Cundal is lawyer and human rights advocate that works in her community with leading organizations to support women, parents, education, business, and international aid.
Kerry worked as a teacher before pursuing her legal career at the University of Calgary. She practiced law at Wolch Hursh deWit Silverberg & Watts and then Sherritt Green in Calgary before becoming an adjudicator representing Western Canada on the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada.
As an adjudicator, lawyer, passionate community leader and mother, Kerry has deep experience and perspective on issues affecting our community by regularly donating her time to the United Way, Calgary Workers Resource Centre, and Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association.
She has recently resigned her position on the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada to seek the nomination in Calgary Signal Hill. Kerry and her husband, Dr. Cory Cundal, and their two children have lived in Calgary Signal Hill for over 10 years.
Kerry is an experienced professional and a strong advocate for human rights. She has authored and contributed to a number of articles on these issues - most recently on the various perspectives regarding Temporary Foreign Workers in Alberta.
Ready for real change, she firmly believes it is time Calgary and Signal Hill residents had a representative who advocates and speaks for them. Kerry believes government must be accountable, responsible, and transparent at every level and is committed to supporting policies that are in the best interests of our families and businesses.
